First Year Info
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we are unable to invite either parents or our new first years into the school in June as usual to take a tour of the building and to discuss procedures, uniforms and so on with us. To help we have created a video tour of the school which you can find below and hopefully all other relevant information will be available to you on this page. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact Mairin, our secretary at email@example.com or Ms McLoughlin, our first year induction co-ordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Uniform can be purchased at Lynch's in Marino. We have a generic grey shirt and grey trousers which you may purchase anywhere that sells uniforms including major retailers such as Dunnes Stores etc. The Jumper is a blue Jumper with school crest. The tie is also blue with gold stripes. There are school Jackets for sale with our crest however we do not require that your son has one, he may use his own Jacket, however we do not allow this to be on him in the school building. Black shoes are also required and may be purchased in any Shoe shop. We do not have a school tracksuit for PE, your son can bring his own tracksuit with him and change in the changing rooms for PE. Click here for a link to Lynch's.
We have also included a PDF document which can be found in your sons school Journal which he will receive in August as part of the book rental. It can be accessed by clicking here.
We operate a book rental scheme at St Vincent's. All information regarding the scheme can be found on our book rental page, which you can find by clicking here!
You can also choose to purchase your own books.
The school journal is supplied as part of the book rental scheme, otherwise the cost is 15 Euro.
Our new first years will be welcomed into the school on Wednesday August 25th 2020 at 9am. This will be a short day. Your son will be finished at approximately 10:30. During this day he will have a tour of the building, meet his form teacher and will commence our induction programme, which is run by Ms McLoughlin. He will be given a timetable for the next week outlining the times he will finish. There will be early finishes for the first few days as the induction programme gets underway.
Our school calendar can be found by clicking here, it will give you the dates during the year when the school will be closed or when parent teacher meetings will be taking place.
